Fiction Friday 100-Word Challenge. A good way for me to play and practice with some writing during my lunch hour!

The Snow Globe (98 words)

It happened again last night; nobody can explain the cause of the earth shakes that turn our world upside down. I pick up pieces of the shattered teacup that had fallen from the table. Looking out, observing the snow drift down upon our picturesque town, I feel there must be something significant to these events. No one questions the earth shakes or what lies beyond the hazy, obscured border. Studying the snowfall, I glimpse a veiled movement, and I feel the tingling sensation along my spine that I always get when I think that someone, somewhere, is watching.
